As
a Newborn Care Instructor, I offer:
- Classes that
come to you! Newborn care can be taught anywhere.
If you are in the hospital on bed rest and can't make it to a
regularly scheduled course, I will be happy to come to your room
and have enough resources and supplies to provide a complete class
at your bedside, working around your schedule, comfort, and unique
family situation. Or, if you are preparing for your birth
and simply prefer a smaller venue where you can know that
your questions will be answered and time will be respected,
I am also delighted to bring the class to your living
room. Either way, my priorities are to provide a high quality
course in an accesible format, with interactive, hands-on, informative,
and reassuring information.
- Thorough orientation
to newborn care skills, including: diapering, feeding, sleeping,
clothing, soothing, bathing, how to know when they're sick, normal
newborn appearance, what to expect after the birth, interpreting
cues and cries, parenting theory and practice, referrals to resources,
with hands-on practice and examples
